N3SI

The N3 highway is one of Africa's most valuable trade routes. Hundreds of billions of rands of goods travel from ports in Kwazulu-Natal to major economic hubs inland and across southern Africa.
However, the deterioration in state policing has made this and other vital routes targets for violent highway crime. The N3 Security Initiative (N3SI) will establish a physical security response capacity on the N3 highway between Howick and Harrismith to secure safer and less obstructed passage on the route.
Sakeliga is bringing together mission-aligned partners in the N3SI who understand that responsible stewardship can protect our communities and secure the economy.
